Tologorri
Two-story, one-bedroom apartment with bath (44m²). This is the most attractive room in the house with three large balconies from which one can see the Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Oak, the La Blanca Sanctuary, and the beautiful views of the Sierra Salvada.
This room has a double bed, sitting room, fully-equipped kitchen, and bathroom. In the upper part of the room, there is a large balcony that gives access to another bedroom with a sofa-bed in a more relaxed environment. This room/apartment is ideal for families with children.
Torogorri, also called Iturrigorri (1066m) because of the fountain that flows from it, is one of the most prominent peaks in the Sierra Salvada, a mountainous area that marks the water boundary between the Cantabrian system and the Mediterranean. It also is an abrupt visual sign of the start of the plateau that divides Biscay and Alava.
From a distance, the helpless cliffs seem impassable, although it is only an optical illusion. As they get closer, the walker discovers an infinite amount of paths that snake through the slopes that rise to one of the distinct passes that give access to the plateau. There are those, like the Goldetxo Pass, that in their day were an authentic highway for carts and wagons, and others like the Barrerilla Pass and its Senda Negra (Black Path) that transport us to other eras of legends and knights, while others still, are more modest and are no more than small, natural cuts in the rock.
